is Prince Charming somewhere out there?

Tonight I would like to introduce you to LaLa!! If you visit our website, you will see that we have eight different images of LaLa in our first release. The card below was designed with "Window LaLa". Here is the description of "Window LaLa" from our website:

"Lala is at the window and she has a dreamy stare, she knows there is Prince Charming somewhere out there. She'll smile and sigh, but never never cry, she knows someday she'll meet that special guy."

This card measures 6" x 6". I created window with square Nestabilites, cut and embossed the larger square first and then cut and embossed the smaller square inside to create the frame. For the awning I used Fiskars border scalloped punch. Flowers were done with two punches, the larger flower is from Martha Steward and the smaller one is by Fiskars. Blue pearl stickers in the centers of the flowers. LaLa was colored with Copic Markers, cut out and popped up on foam tape.

One of my DT members, Maureen Wong has made the card with the same stamp. I just love the way Maureen colored miss LaLa and also how she positioned LaLa in the circle with the Basic Grey rub-on behind her!! Sweet!!

You can read more about Maureen's card and also see the close up of the image on Maureen's blog here.

Please visit our store to purchase this and other LaLa stamps!!

Hugs!!

the La-La Gala Grand Prize Winner

I would like to announce the Winner of the La-La Gala Grand Prize!! I pulled the name after the celebration was over and the winner is Chris Ollia!!! Congratulations Chris!!

Chris has been already notified over the phone and picked up her prize at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. I was actually there, but have totally spaced out and did not take the photos of Chris with the prize :-( But Chris has told me that she did not have anything of what was included in the price, I am glad I picked the "right" things!!! There was a set of JustRite all occasion stamps with the stamper, Tim Holtz scissors, Stampa-Magic, set of large Prima Silk Flowers, and I can't even recall the rest right now.. but there were quite a few things in there!! A basket full of goodies, a basket full of stamping haven!!

Congratulations again Chris and enjoy!!!

Hugs!!

Introducing a few of my La-La Land Animal friends!

I have made quite a few cards already with the super cute La-La Land Crafts stamps, including LaLa and Rosie. However, I am going to save those for the upcoming challenge next Wednesday. That's right! La-La's Weekly Wednesday Challenge!

Today, I want you to meet a few of my La-La Land Animal friends.
I have created a card for Banjo Maya, Pepper with Cake, and Whiskers Sleeping. You can view the La-La Land Crafts Animal Collecion HERE.

If you go to La-La Land Crafts and click on each image, you will see that Mark Peterson has written a character description for each collection and each individual image! I have included each character description for my animal friends under each picture here as a preview.

We got 157 (!!) entries into the last Blog Candy!!! That is so AWESOME!!! I just LOVE reading all your comments!!! Please know that your support in this new venture means A LOT to me!!!

I used random.org to draw the winning number.. and here it is..

Lucky 75!!! Charlene, you are the WINNER!!!! Here is what Charlene said in her comment:

"Charlene said...
Congratulations on your new venture! Will mention you on my blog for sure. May you be blessed with new friends and lots of sales. ;-)"

Congratulations Charlene!! Please visit our website to choose your three stamps and email me your mailing address along with your choice of stamps.

....And now I would like to show you the card that everyone had made during the Make-and-Take last night, well they made just a bit simpler version of it :-)

This is Clover, one of our stamps from the Animals Collection. Check out the look on her face, cracks me up!!! Here is the description of this stamp (you can also see it on our website):

"Clover is a cute little chicken and she scurries right along. With a cackle and cluck she turned to me to say “Today is the day, I cannot slow my pace. Any minute now and the sun will show its face.” " Cute, huh?

Clover stamp has also chicken foot prints on it. You just need to cut them apart and use separate, just like I used the chicken foot prints inside of the card. Isn't that just AWESOME to get two stamps in one? You can purchase Clover in our store here.

This card measures 6" x 6". The super adorable cloud paper is by Best Creations, it is double sided!! I used Crystal Stickles to outline the clouds. The polka dots paper is by Bo Bunny. I used Martha Stewart border punch to create the "grass" look. Clover was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto the Coconut Swirl paper by Bazzil and colored with Copics. Here is the list of colors: E00, E11, E33, YR21, YR24, R29, YG03 and YG63. Circles were cut and embossed with Nestabilites. We do not have our own sentiment stamps just yet, the sentiment on the cards is form A Muse. Label for the sentiment is from Spellbinders. Ribbon and the brad finish off this card.

Hugs!!

La-La Gala photographs

Last night was awesome! I enjoyed every moment of it! I have a few photos to share.

This beautiful cake was made and airbrushed by Geri (owner of Cranberry Hill Mercantile). She took an empty Copic marker, filled it with food coloring, then airbrushed the cake! Not only did it look fantastic, it was SO delicious!

A layered dip made by Geri that is to die for! So yummy! Photobucket

I didn't get a chance to munch 'til later, but I did manage to take a picture of the spread!

Irina gave a terrific speech to kick off the grand opening.

Kim Yu and Sheila Lygo

Hi! My name is Kim. I am so thrilled to be a part of La-La Land Crafts’ first Design Team! I fell in love with Irina’s super cute stamps the minute I saw the sneak peeks!

I live in California. I am happily married to a very wonderful, understanding man and I am very blessed with two super adorable babies, a boy and a girl. I work with Adoptions during the week and craft my nights and weekends away!

I am still over the moon to be a member of this wonderful Team! I can’t wait to start sharing these adorable stamps with everyone here and on my blog, Kimbee's Creations. I guarantee you will fall in love with them once you see the release on Wednesday, August 12, 2009! So mark your calendar!

Hi my name is Sheila and like Kim, I too am thrilled to be part of La-La Land Crafts' first Design team. Irina's cute stamps are just up my street. :)

I live in the UK in a small market town called March. I'm married to John, 33 years next month. :) We have 2 daughters Kate (31) & Helen (30). We also have 3 gorgeous grandsons & are expecting number 4 to arrive TODAY!!!! So lots of excitement at the moment.

I've been a crafter for most of my life, from knitting in my younger days through to card making now, I love to stamp & colour and my passion is my Copic's. I love those babies, you can see some of my musings on my blog Here.

I'm really looking forward to working with Irina and the rest of team.

Maureen Wong and Kathy Page

Hey everybody! My name is Maureen and I am extremely thrilled and honored to be a part of the La-La Land Crafts Design Team! It was love at first site when I saw the sneak peeks and I can't wait to share the images with all of you!

I am a SAHM living in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu, with my very supportive and wonderful husband, two sons and three dogs. I've been stamping for over ten years now and love to spend most of my free time in my craft room making a mess! When I'm not in there, I might also be found in the computer room posting to my blog My C.A.S.E. Studies or blog surfing.

I hope you'll be able to join us on Wednesday for the full reveal and I also hope you'll enjoy what I create for La-La Land Crafts!

Hello! I am Kathy aka "distressed stamper". I am a mother to three wonderful little girls and wife to a hardworking fellow who supports my need to be a SAHM for my girls.

I started cardmaking about 3 years ago. Shortly after I was married I moved to a new state and knew no one so one night at my daughters pre-school I was invited to a cardmaking class and the rest is history!!

I come from a very creative family but I always thought I missed that gene until I started papercrafting! It is a great outlet for my creativitiy and also important for some "me" time!

I am excited to be a part of this upcoming company and look forward to working with the rest of the girls!!

Jane Matsumoto and Lisa Hjulberg

Hi! My name is Jane and I am very honored to be part of La-La Land Crafts' Design Team! I instantly fell in love with these adorable stamps as soon as I saw the sneak peeks. I think that you will too!

I live in San Jose, CA, with two very energetic boys, an extremely supportive husband, and a loving cat. I teach preschool to 3 year olds by day and spend my evenings at the craft table, happily stamping the night away. I am passionate about crafting. I am willing to try anything at least once, especially different techniques and challenges. This is how I express myself.

I am absolutely thrilled to be part of this talented team and to be able to work for the uber talented Irina. It's definitely a wish come true!

I can not wait to be able to share these super sweet stamps with you! My blog is called "Whoopsie Daisy!". Please come by to visit. I love receiving comments and making new friends!

Don't forget to join us for the big reveal on Wednesday! It is going to be so much fun!

Hello! Welcome to La-La Land Crafts! I'm so excited to be here. My name is Lisa, and I'm very proud and happy to be one of the inaugural Design Team members for La-La Land Crafts! This is like a dream come true. When I saw the sneak peeks of a few of the stamps on this blog I fell in love... I could just tell that these are my kind of images. I adore whimsical designs, and I love coloring, especially with my Copic markers, so this seemed like a match made in heaven. Thank goodness Irina felt the same!

I can't wait to get started sharing these wonderful stamps with you, both here and on my blog (The Craft's Meow). I guarantee it will be love at first sight when you finally get to see the full reveal on Wednesday night! So, buckle your seatbelts... this is going to be a fun ride into La-La Land!!!
