Generally vintage art reproduces the looks of times from the 19th through mid-20th century. It can include postcard images from that era as well as World War II planes or other patriotic themes, Victorian or Depression-era elements. As steampunk is the idea of celebrating the future of yesterday, text from the Victorian times is also sometimes included in vintage-looking art. Appropriate colors, textures, fonts and images can truly give today's products a very vintage and heirloom appeal.
As shown in the following TOP 3 entries, fantastic vintage-looking art can be created using modern products.
7 - Jodi-Kaboo Designs used fancy heirloom edges through lace, die cuts and stamps with warm shades of rust and tan to decorate her loving card.
17 - Ann Marie Governale added a slightly tinted vintage photo, framed with a string of pearls, over soft netting to share her vintage-looking project. The addition of wrinkled seam binding and a variety of roses compliment her theme.
95 - Astrid's use of fancy edges combined with warm patterned layers and simple embellishments surely provide a vintage feeling to her card.
