Here is Capri Marci. I just luv her casualness and laid back style. I suppose that's why I went with this simple and laid back card. The doily has so much detail in it already, I didn't want to overdo it.

Thank Goodness for Fireman Luka!
Okay seriously, I totally didn't realize I colored black first instead of yellow. I used colored pencil by the way. Since I didn't want to waste the image, I just put on a dirty outfit for Luka. hehe
I guess I need LOTS of more practice using Prisma colored pencils. LOL
Anyway, have a fabulous Friday, everyone!
Jessalyn gets Mojo'd
I decided to pair Jesalyn (available in digi right here and in rubber here!) with this week's Mojo188 sketch, and am quite pleased with the results! I also colored her with my W's to create the black and white look - such a fun technique!! I used W00, 1, 3, 5 and 7 - along with R00 to give her a nice soft pink glow.
I hope you all have been linking up your La-La Crafts creations on our blog...just a few more days to get in for this month's Customer Appreciation drawing!! Good luck!

Don't forget we would love to see your anything but a card projects for a chance to win fabulous prizes in our National Scrapbooking Day contest running at the moment.
So Cool...
As I was flipping through the stamps Luka with Truck caught my attention and right then I decided I wanted to use this cutie to make a boy card this time around. I paired him up with some cute automobile paper and found a Cuttlekid truck die that I colored with Copics to match the truck in his arms. I punched out a small cloud and colored it to make it look like smoke coming out from the exhaust. Renate shared her cute brads and I used So Cool for the center of the "smoke." Have to say I think this little boy is a cutie pie and can be colored to look like anyone's little boy.
Don't forget to upload any of your La-La Land projects to the Customer Gallery. A winner will be chosen at the end of the month for a cool prize.
Mahalo for stopping by today. Have a wonderful Easter Sunday!
Hugs,
Leanne
Free Pattern: Size 3 Thread Washcloth Close Scallop Stitch Large
I find washcloths made with regular cotton yarn too thick; they don't dry fast enough for me. I prefer to use two strands of size 3 cotton thread together, which I think moves better and dries faster. This stitch pattern makes a bumpy, absorbent cloth.
The finished cloth is a large one - about 12 by 12. Because crochet thread is not made to be dried, it will shrink quite a bit in the dryer. But don't be afraid to dry it - it still looks and works great! This big cloth is great for spills and cleanup. Find the smaller size here.
Supplies:
Two balls size 3 cotton thread (here I used Royale Natural)
Size 5mm (H/8) hook
Abbreviations:
Ch: chain
Dc: double crochet
Sc: single crochet
Instructions:
With two strands of thread held together, ch 49.
Row 1: 2 dc in 4th ch from hook. *Skip 2 ch, 4 dc in next ch. Skip 2 ch, sc in next ch. Repeat from * to end.
Row 2-27 (or until about square): Ch 3, turn. 2 dc in sc. *Sc in the space between the 2nd and 3rd dcs (see picture below). 4 dc in next sc. Repeat from *, sc in ch 3 sp.
Notes:
Don't measure for size until after the second row.
On your first few rows, double check to make sure your 4 dcs are in the sc, not in the last dc of the cluster. It's an easy mistake to make.

Too many shoes? Not! Never! No way!
Greetings fellow La-La Land Crafts family! One of the things that has always drawn my attention and made me smile when I look at my Marci rubber stamp collection...are all the cute shoes! Right?! All snazzy and stylish and wonderfully positioned to just ever so slightly introduce another side to her personality...
So, I had to do something with Marci's shoes and here we have it. Hope you like it and it makes you smile, too! Can you guess which Marci each pair belongs to?
You can't see in the pic, but the little red shoes are blinged out and sparkly and the super hero boots have Diamond Glaze on them to give the sleek rubbery look. I decided to keep everything else gray except the shoes and the teddy bear feet with the hopes that the shoes would stand out more. One day, when I figure out how to take better pictures, you'll be able to see all the different textures and proper colors. Ok! All done for the night and tomorrow begins another project my bud, Leanne! WHOO HOO! I love big projects :)
Happy Easter Everyone!

Move over Chef Marci . . . Someone new is taking over the bakery!
My son, along with the rest of the Kindergartners at his school, performed in a play/musical . . . Jack & the Beanstalk. He was a cook. My card that I'm sharing today was inspired by my son's performance. I used Chef Marci & Amour Luka. How did I use both images? I altered the two images - - I wanted the chef's outfit without Marci's face/hair. Amour Luka was the perfect fit with his long pants. This is how it came out!
Here's a closer look at Chef Luka. I hope Irina, owner of La-La Land Crafts, would be proud of me that I created a "boy" chef. :)
Well, my boy made me proud! He had me beaming from ear to ear after watching him perform. I hope this inspires you to create . . . have a great weekend!
So Lady Like!
It has been a while since I inked up this adorable Fancy Dress Marci. I haven't played with my Hampton Artsy Edges stamps as well and I thought they would be perfect for Marci! Like it? I simply stamped it on the edges and voila! In case you are wondering about the corners, I used a ticket punch for them.
I do hope everyone have a fun Easter weekend! Thanks a bunch for stopping by today!
A Li'l Something for a Li'l Someone
Happy Wednesday!!
I’m pulling a goodie out of the attic today! This is Birthday Marci which was one of the very first Marci’s that came out late late year. She’s one of my faves because she’s so versatile: great for Birthdays or Christmas, Mother's Day or other. And don'tcha just love her cute li'l panda friend? So cute.
I followed this week's sketch at Sketches by Carly. We're just playing for fun this week, so if you’re looking for a sketch to follow, why not try this one?! =)
Thanks for stopping by today! Lots more cuties if you scroll down as our DT posts something new almost every single day!! =)
Bee creative… Ink Something!

Is There A Doctor In The House?
Copic Blog Candy - NEW Winner!!
The winning number this time is 92.
Get Well!
Here I went really simple with the design. Colored Marci up with Copics. Used my newest border punch from EK and some really fun dp from MME Tickled Pink. The sentiment was handwritten on a tag punch from SU with a bright turqouise ribbon that pops some of the same color from the dp. The whole display is on a light peach Tsumugi card from Hanko Designs.
Planning to put this in the mail tomorrow and hoping when she gets it she'll feel tons better. She won't be able to read it as she's only 2, so mommy or daddy will have to read it to her, but I'm hoping the bright colors and pretty Marci will put a smile on her face.
Wouldn't you love to do that for someone special? Of course you would! Well you can with any of the La-La Land images. They just make you smile and feel better. Stop by the STORE and pick some up today!
Don't forget to upload your creations to our Customer Gallery, I've been seeing some really gr8 creations. : )
Have a gr8 Sunday!!
